Meet AltED LLC
Hello! I’m Montserrat “Montse or Mon” Oyanedel-Tolmo, an instructional designer learning and training consultant. I have experience as a curriculum and course developer and a decade of helping organizations create and facilitate transformative training experiences. In my work, I implement brain-based learning sciences, adult learning principles, and culturally inclusive instructional design practices that enhance knowledge acquisition in any learning environment.
I’ve presented my work and techniques at conferences across the United States. In addition, I’ve collaborated with organizations in Guatemala, London, and Chile and spearheaded multiple professional development initiatives in New Mexico. I hold a master’s degree in Organization, Information, and Learning Sciences with a concentration in Instructional Design and Learning Technologies and a degree in Chemical Engineering.

Lana Beans was born and raised in Taos Pueblo, New Mexico. She considers herself a proud “rez dog.” She is instrumental in bringing mindfulness, physical activity, and wellbeing programs at AltED LLC.
She loves networking and connecting with humans, not much with other dogs, cats, or anything that moves. However, she is working on that with training and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) coaching.
